art inspired by travel and medicine

Art
Kait started her college career planning to go into art therapy after a lifetime of drawing portraits, painting landscapes, and taking as many art classes as possible in high school. Once she got to college, however, she found that art was more enjoyable to pursue on her own time while simultaneously being exposed to the medical field for the first time.

Travel
After the first year of undergraduate studies, Kait had the opportunity to study abroad in Finland for the Summer. Her first time on a plane or out of the country, Kait was immediately inspired by the exposure to new landscapes, prompting a lot more travel and upon return, her first travel-inspired painting of the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. Since then, she has created a collection of over 10 paintings inspired from travel, with the most being from Iceland.

Medicine
After her exposure to the medical field, Kait gradually transitioned to pursuing medicine. Her love for art and medicine have always been intertwined, but became more clear throughout creating her histology-inspired collection of acrylic paintings in medical school.
